Provided that the person is officially employed, an electronic sick leave certificate will be generated, even if the employee falls ill the day after starting work.
An electronic sick leave certificate is generated in the Electronic Register of Sick Leave Certificates based on a medical conclusion (or medical conclusions) if the patient is identified as an insured person in the register of insured persons of the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance.
When generating the sick leave certificate, information regarding the primary place of work of the insured person is taken into account, as well as data from the notice of employment.
The notice of employment indicating the date of starting work is submitted by the policyholder (employer) in accordance with the Procedure for notifying the State Tax Service and its territorial bodies of the employment of an employee, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 413 dated June 17, 2015.
For reference: The notice must be submitted prior to the commencement of the employee's work.
During the processing of the medical conclusion on temporary disability, an electronic sick leave certificate will NOT be generated if the person works unofficially, and consequently, no policyholder (employer) is found and no information regarding their hiring has been submitted.
