Find Out Whether You Need to Resubmit a Statement Confirming You Do Not Receive a Pension from the Russian Federation

Published 24 June 2026 year, 15:47

Do I need to resubmit a statement confirming that I do not receive a pension from the Russian Federation if I already submitted it last year?

No, you do not.

⚖Ukrainian law provides that pensioners who live in territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, or who left such territories for government-controlled areas during the occupation, are entitled to receive a Ukrainian pension provided that they do not receive pension payments from Russian pension authorities.

This information is declared in an application for the assignment, recalculation, renewal, or continuation of a pension (Paragraph 14-4 of the Final Provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”).

If a pensioner has already submitted such a statement, there is no need to submit it again.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine must be informed only if circumstances affecting pension payments change, including cases where the pensioner begins receiving payments from Russian pension authorities.
