My housing subsidy for the non-heating season is listed as UAH 0.00. What does this mean?
A housing subsidy is a targeted form of state assistance designed to help cover the cost of housing and utility services, apartment building management expenses, as well as the purchase of liquefied gas and solid or liquid household heating fuel.
The amount of the housing subsidy is calculated as the difference between the cost of housing and utility services within established social consumption standards and the household’s mandatory payment.
The mandatory payment is calculated individually for each household and depends on the total income of household members per person.
If, based on the calculation, the difference between the cost of services and the mandatory payment is zero or negative, the housing subsidy amount is determined to be UAH 0.00.
This provision is established by Paragraph 60 of the Regulation on the Procedure for Granting Housing Subsidies, approved by Resolution No. 848 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 21, 1995.
