In the run-up to Easter, students from the Donetsk Regional Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity across Ukraine immersed themselves in a special atmosphere of inspiration, creativity, and unity.

In Dnipro, the “Magical Colors” club, based at the “I Am Mariupol” center, launched a vibrant creative project called “Easter Wonderland.” The young artists discovered folk traditions and the symbolism of the holiday, and enthusiastically created pysanky using the plasticine painting technique.

The Easter program in Khmelnytskyi was packed with activities. Students from the “Feel the Rhythm” and “Graylik” clubs took part in a series of themed events. During a master class on decorating Easter cakes and gingerbread, the children enthusiastically drew patterns with icing, decorated their creations with colored sprinkles, and created their own unique designs. The event took place at the Khmelnytskyi Center for Vocational and Technical Education in the Service Sector with the participation of experienced masters who shared their knowledge and warmth.

A master class on making pysanky (Easter eggs) as part of the “Bakhmut Easter Tree” initiative was particularly unique. The tradition, initiated by the Bakhmut Local History Museum, continued at the Khmelnytskyi Regional Art Museum.

Another significant event was the students’ participation in the large-scale Act of Unity of Ukrainians. Together with participants from across the country, the children took part in setting a world record—painting a unity Easter egg.

A creative and warm atmosphere also prevailed at the “I Am Mariupol” support centers in Kropyvnytskyi, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia. Under the guidance of the Palace’s teachers, the children enthusiastically created Easter souvenirs and drawings. In the “Kalinka” and “Territory of Creativity” clubs, vibrant themed crafts took shape, while the students of the “Berehynia” club brought festive scenes to life in their artwork.

The light of Easter unites hearts and allows children to feel a connection to their native culture and find emotional support through shared creativity.
