At the invitation of the Kirovohrad Regional Branch of the All-Ukrainian Sports Society “Kolos,” the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History for Schoolchildren participated in the final event of the “Steppe Strength” regional sports games, which took place in Kropyvnytskyi.
The event brought together veterans, their families, and loved ones around sports, active communication, and mutual support. The Center’s participation helped create a space for interaction, positive emotions, and healing through shared activities.
Among the participants in the sports games were veterans whose military service is connected to the Donetsk region. It is important for the Center to support fellow countrymen who now live in various communities across Ukraine, maintain ties with their homeland, and continue to build their lives under new circumstances.
During the final gathering, the Center organized an archery station. Participants tested their skills and practiced accuracy, concentration, and endurance. For some, it was their first experience; for others, it was an opportunity to hone their skills. The shared activity fostered relaxed conversation and created an opportunity for new positive experiences.
Participating in the event provided the Center with yet another opportunity to support the veteran community and join initiatives aimed at promoting an active social life for veterans and their families.
