According to the orders of the Ministry of youth and sports of Ukraine on the approval of the composition of Ukraine's national teams in olympic, non-olympic and sports for people with disabilities for 2026 year, Donetsk region is represented by 522 athletes in the national teams.
A total of 234 athletes from Donetsk Oblast are included in the main list of the national teams, 162 are included in the list of candidates, and another 126 are included in the reserve list.
The Ukrainian national teams for 2026 include 238 athletes from Donetsk region in olympic sports, 230 in non-olympic sports, and 54 athletes with disabilities.
Donetsk Oblast is represented in these lists in 24 olympic sports.
In 2026, non-olympic athletes from Donetsk region will be represented in Ukrainian national teams in 29 sports.
In sports for persons with disabilities, Donetsk Oblast is represented in 11 disciplines as part of Ukraine's national teams for 2026.
