The Donetsk region continues to develop the tourism and sports movement, encouraging children to actively explore the world, engage in teamwork, and test their limits.

On the initiative of the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History for Schoolchildren, as part of the “Azimuth. Course for Interaction,” a tourism and sports relay race took place at the “Dyvosvit” Lyceum of the Znam’yanka City Council in Kirovohrad Oblast.

Nearly 100 middle and high school students took part in challenges that required agility, attentiveness, endurance, and the ability to work together. At six stations, participants painted souvenir bags, navigated a maze, tackled an obstacle course, tied hiking knots, tested their accuracy in archery, and learned first-aid skills.

Each station opened up new opportunities for learning through hands-on experience. The children learned to find solutions in unconventional situations, support one another, and act responsibly as a team.

It is important for our region that the traditions of tourism and local history in Donetsk Oblast continue to thrive, regardless of the circumstances or the location of the events. Through partnerships with educational institutions in other regions, Donetsk Oblast shares its accumulated experience, supports active youth, and creates opportunities for joint initiatives.
