This week Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University was honored to receive Andrzej Sheptytsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland.
During the solemn Academic Council of the University with the participation of the University graduate, People's Deputy of Ukraine Yulia Ovchynnykova, Andrzej Sheptytskyi was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University.
The title "Honorary Doctor of Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University" is awarded to outstanding scientists, statesmen and public figures, cultural and educational workers for their achievements in science, education, politics, culture and international cooperation, as well as for their significant contribution to the establishment and development of scientific and creative ties with Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University.
Andrzej Sheptytsky became the 40th Honorary Doctor of the University.
