In conditions of unstable electricity supply, the state has introduced financial support for entrepreneurs to help businesses operate without interruptions and reduce dependence on external factors. The assistance is available to sole proprietors (FOPs) — micro and small business entities that, as of December 1, 2025, were single tax payers of groups 2 or 3, had employees, and had no arrears in paying the unified social contribution (USC) for employees as of January 26, 2026.
The amount of assistance depends on the number of employees and ranges from UAH 7,500 to 15,000. The funds can be used to purchase generators, batteries, charging stations, inverters, solar panels, fuel for generators, as well as for the installation and maintenance of such equipment.
Entrepreneur Serhii Kravchenko has already taken advantage of this support. Due to the war, he relocated from Marinka to a safer community. During the full-scale invasion, he started his own freight transportation business and has been delivering cargo across Ukraine for the third year in a row.
Power outages became a serious challenge for the business, as preparing vehicles for trips requires the use of power tools and equipment. Blackouts caused delays and changes in transportation schedules, which affected the company’s operations.
Serhii learned about the “Energy Support for Sole Proprietors” program from employment service specialists and decided to take advantage of the opportunity. He used the received funds to purchase fuel for a generator.
“In our field, it is very important not to let people down. When a client is waiting for cargo, every hour matters. Thanks to the generator, we can work steadily and not depend on power outages,” the entrepreneur says.
Today, energy resilience has become an essential condition for stable business operations, and such programs help entrepreneurs adapt to new realities and confidently continue their work.
