The Pension Fund of Ukraine provides assistance for children placed under guardianship or custody.
🧾 Assistance is granted to the person appointed as the guardian or custodian of a child who, due to the death of parents, deprivation of parental rights, illness of the parents, or other reasons, has been left without parental care and has acquired the legal status of an orphan or a child deprived of parental care.
📊 The amount of assistance is:
🔸 2.5 subsistence minimums for a child of the corresponding age;
🔸 3.5 subsistence minimums for a child with a disability of the corresponding age.
📉 If the child receives a pension, alimony, scholarship, or other assistance (except for social assistance for children with disabilities), the assistance is paid as the difference between the prescribed amount and the average monthly sum of such payments over the previous 12 months.
🗓 Duration of assistance
Assistance is granted for 12 months from the month of application (with automatic extension) and is paid monthly until the child reaches 18 years of age.
❗ Assistance is not provided if the child is fully supported by the state.
💳 Payment of assistance is made:
🔘 to a bank account, or
🔘 via JSC Ukrposhta.
📂 Required documents:
🔹 application in the prescribed form;
🔹 applicant’s identity document;
🔹 Taxpayer Identification Number (RNOKPP);
🔹 decision of the guardianship and custody authority or court on the establishment of guardianship or custody of an orphan or a child deprived of parental care;
🔹 child’s birth certificate;
🔹 certificate of registration of the place of residence of the guardian/custodian and the child (if the child is a pupil of an educational institution not funded by the state, a certificate indicating the institution’s status and confirming the child’s attendance is required);
🔹 certificates on the monthly amount of pension, alimony, scholarship, or state assistance received by the guardian/custodian (if a pension is received for the child, its amount is taken into account);
🔹 medical certificate confirming disability of a child under 18, issued in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Health.
📥 How to apply:
✅ in person — at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (regardless of place of registration or residence);
✅ by mail or electronically — through the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s e-services web portal;
✅ through authorized representatives of the executive body of a village, settlement, city council of the respective territorial community, or a CNAP (Administrative Service Center).
📌 Grounds for termination of assistance:
▫ dismissal of the guardian/custodian;
▫ adoption of the child or return to parents;
▫ reaching the age of 18;
▫ child’s employment or marriage;
▫ full civil capacity of the minor;
▫ placement of the child under full state care.
