Representatives of the Social Protection Department of the Druzhkivka City Council held an online meeting with colleagues from the Social Protection and Health Care Department of the Zhmerynka City Council in Vinnytsia Oblast.
The meeting took place as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”
During the discussion, the experts focused on issues that directly arise in the work of social protection agencies. They discussed the procedures for providing financial assistance to various categories of residents using local budget funds, as well as practical solutions already being implemented in the Druzhkivka and Zhmerynka communities.
Significant attention was devoted to supporting veterans, Defenders of Ukraine, and their families. Representatives from the departments shared their own best practices, discussed the specifics of organizing assistance at the local level, and identified areas requiring further improvement.
Sharing these best practices allows participants to see how similar challenges are addressed in other communities, compare approaches, and apply their partners’ practical experience in their future work.
