The Druzhkivka and Zhmerynka communities are launching a flash mob called “The Flag That Unites Ukraine”

Published 17 August 2026 year, 13:51

On August 23, Ukraine will celebrate National Flag Day. It is a symbol of our state, freedom, and shared history, which today serves as a particularly powerful reminder of the unity of Ukrainians.

On the eve of the holiday, the Druzhkivka City Military Administration, as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” is launching an online flash mob titled “The Flag That Unites Ukraine.”

Residents of the Druzhkivka and Zhmerynka communities, regardless of age, are invited to participate. The challenge will run from August 15 through August 23.

Post a photo with the National Flag of Ukraine on your Facebook page and add a few words of support for the partner community. This could be a wish, words of gratitude, or a short message about how, despite the distance, Ukrainians are united by shared values, mutual support, and love for their country.

To ensure your posts become part of the joint flash mob, use the hashtags

#ПрапорЩоОбєднуєУкраїну

#ПлічОпліч

Join us and show that the blue-and-yellow flag can unite people in different corners of Ukraine!

May the blue-and-yellow flag unite Druzhkivka and Zhmerynka, and may our posts serve as yet another symbol of friendship, mutual support, and unity among Ukrainians.
