Participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition “Leaders of Knowledge” category: Anastasia Makhniboroda
Anastasia Makhniboroda’s career choice was influenced by her own teachers, who served as role models for her during her school years. She graduated with honors from Pokrovsk Pedagogical College, earned a bachelor’s degree from Berdiansk State Pedagogical University in “Secondary Education (Mathematics),” and since 2025, she has been pursuing a master’s degree at Berdiansk State Pedagogical University in “Vocational Education (Digital Technologies).”
Anastasia has five years of teaching experience. She worked at a preschool as an educational coordinator and spent three years as an elementary school teacher. She is now in her second year of teaching mathematics at the Mirnograd City Council’s Model General Secondary School (where the staff relocated after the destruction of their original school, Secondary School No. 4). In her classes, she incorporates digital tools such as Canva, Scratch, and Kahoot, as well as elements of programming, and her students have won awards at subject-based academic competitions.
Despite the forced relocation and the shift to remote learning during the war, Anastasia organizes additional consultations to help students make up for lost learning and maintains constant contact with her students.
From July 2023 to July 2025, she headed the Myrnohrad Youth Council, implementing 98 youth, volunteer, and environmental initiatives together with her team. She is also a participant in the “DIY Community Eco-Wave” project. She has received commendations for her pedagogical and civic activities.
