Athletes representing the Donetsk Regional Children and Youth Sports School (CYSS) for Kickboxing secured two silver medals at the WAKO World Junior Kickboxing Championship held in Lido di Jesolo, Italy.
Tournament Achievements & Results (Full-Contact Discipline), Maksym Piatak (Under 71 kg Category):
Defeated opponents from Jordan, Poland, and Denmark in the preliminary rounds.
Earned the silver medal after a close final match against an athlete from Serbia.
Valeriia Heniuta (Under 65 kg Category):
Defeated representatives from Hungary and Turkey in tournament bouts.
Earned the silver medal following the final match against a fellow Ukrainian athlete.
Coaches: Maksym and Valeriia were prepared for the World Championship by coaches Vitalii Lee and Artem Driha.
Participating Team Members: Additional international tournament experience was gained by team members Nestor Lee, Nazar Semeniuk, Artem Saienko, and Oleksandra Pipa.
