Farmers in 9 frontline regions will receive silos for temporary crop storage: the State Agricultural Registry has begun accepting applications
The program of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is being implemented by FAO Ukraine, the World Food Programme, Mercy Corps, and the Ukrainian Red Cross with financial and resource support from international partners—the European Union, the U.S. Department of State, the Government of Canada, and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
Who can participate:
🔹agricultural producers from the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions;
🔹farms that cultivate between 100 and 3,000 hectares of land.
Priority will be given to enterprises whose agricultural infrastructure has been damaged by hostilities.
The silos are intended exclusively for storing their own harvest of grain and oilseed crops.
Applications will be accepted until September 13, 2026, through the State Agricultural Register.
“Every metric ton of grain that agricultural producers manage to preserve is the result of their hard work and an investment in the next farming season. Our priority is to provide producers with the necessary tools to protect these investments and maintain the economic viability of their farms,” emphasized Taras Vysotsky, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
A single grain silo can hold about 200 metric tons of grain and is installed directly on the farm premises. This makes it possible to create additional storage capacity and avoid the forced sale of the harvest at below-market prices.
