Behind every business that continues operating in frontline areas are people who have not lost faith in their work. One of them is Yuliia Shneier, an entrepreneur from Sloviansk who has been developing her business in her hometown for more than 20 years.

Since 2004, Ms. Shneier has been baking bread and other bakery products, producing confectionery, and supplying her products through local retail chains. Despite the challenges of wartime, she continues to operate, expand her business, and provide the community with high-quality products.

An important milestone in the development of her business came in 2023, when she participated in the "Own Business" grant program. The grant enabled her to equip a new bakery and create two new jobs—one for a cook and one for a baker.

In addition, the entrepreneur took advantage of employment service compensation programs, allowing her to direct more resources toward expanding production.

During the visit, Nataliia Adamova toured the enterprise, spoke with the business owner about the challenges currently facing businesses in Donetsk Region, and discussed further opportunities for state support.
