Residents of frontline communities in eastern Ukraine continue to be forced to leave their homes due to constant shelling.

In March 2026, a team from the “East SOS” Charitable Foundation, with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF), helped 522 people evacuate from dangerous areas. The majority of requests came from Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Oleksandrivka in the Donetsk region

Another 436 people received logistical support over the course of the month—escort services and assistance on their journey after departure. Among them was Mr. Volodymyr from Mykolaivka in the Donetsk region.

“Volodymyr is 39 years old. He has a Group I disability and uses a wheelchair. We helped him find temporary accommodation at the “Ocean of Goodness” NGO’s Social Adaptation Center for People with Disabilities, where he is receiving the necessary support and awaiting further resettlement in Denmark,” shared Ivan Saversky, Evacuation Logistics Manager at the “Sхід SOS” Charitable Foundation.

The “Sхід SOS” Charitable Foundation team continues to evacuate and provide logistical support to residents of frontline communities. These activities are carried out as part of the project “Comprehensive Support and Protection for Vulnerable Groups of Evacuees,” implemented by the “Sхід SOS” Charitable Foundation with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
