As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a meeting was held between representatives of the Social Protection Department and the Children’s Services Department of the Soledar City Council and representatives of the Social Protection Department of the Bilohorodka Village Council.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish cooperation between the communities in the “Partners’ Introduction” format, exchange experiences in the field of social protection and child rights protection, and identify promising areas for further cooperation.
During the meeting, participants discussed key areas of work, including support for internally displaced persons, war veterans, and their families, as well as the implementation of social programs for vulnerable population groups. Special attention was given to the activities of the Children’s Services Department, particularly issues related to ensuring and protecting children’s rights.
The Bilohorodka community presented its own experience in organizing work in the field of social protection and the activities of the child welfare service, the implementation of social programs, and cooperation with social institutions, civil society organizations, and other partners.
Based on the results of the meeting, the main areas for further cooperation were identified:
- exchanging experiences in the provision of social services and the protection of children’s rights;
- establishing effective communication between social workers and community child welfare services;
- holding joint thematic meetings, consultations, and training events;
- developing partnership initiatives within the framework of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project.
The meeting marked an important step in the development of inter-municipal partnerships and will contribute to strengthening cooperation among communities in the areas of social protection and the protection of children’s rights.
