Summer for students of the Pokrovskii Pedagogical Vocational College is not only about rest, but also about a real school of life. For the second year in a row, the students have been working as educators and assistants at the children's health and recreation center "Perlyna Donetschyny - Zakarpattya".
For future teachers, this is a unique opportunity to experience pedagogy in action: organizing leisure activities, creative classes, support in the first moments of adaptation and in difficult moments, teamwork and an incomparable feeling of how their attention and care change the mood of little wards.
"I never thought that one day with children could be so full of emotions," says Taisiya Bessonova, a fourth-year student.
"This is a real lesson in patience, understanding and empathy," agree her colleagues, Marina Kleimenova and Mykhailo Katsiuba. "Every game, every communication is a small victory that gives you faith in your own strength," says Yelyzaveta Omelyanenko.
Every day of this practice is a small victory: children's smiles, their sincere "thank yous," moments of trust and mutual understanding. This is how future teachers are born, able to give knowledge, warmth and faith even in the most difficult times.
It is here, in Zakarpattia, that the college students give warmth and support to the children of Donetsk region - children who especially need care and a sense of security in this difficult time. Such cooperation is a vivid example of how Donetsk region is, first and foremost, people who, even though they are in different parts of the country, continue to work together for the sake of a common Ukrainian future.
