41 people evacuated from the Donetsk region have traveled to safer regions—the Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne regions—to settle in temporary housing.
This phase of the evacuation, which took place on September 30 and October 1, was the result of a joint effort by the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Ukrzaliznytsia, and the Coordination Humanitarian Center charitable organization. Cooperation among the partners made it possible to coordinate train transportation and the subsequent support for the evacuees.
This placement is preceded by daily efforts to find available housing. The Charitable Organization “Coordination Humanitarian Center,” in cooperation with government agencies, local communities, and specialized institutions in various regions, collects and updates information on available accommodations in “Poruch,” an information system for coordinating the evacuation and provision of assistance to people from temporarily occupied territories, areas of active or potential hostilities, and vulnerable populations. This helps ensure that housing arrangements are coordinated in advance, taking people’s needs into account.
For evacuees, this means they don’t have to search for a place to stay on their own after their journey. The next step is already planned before their arrival.
We thank everyone who has helped transport and receive evacuees. We continue to work together so that people can not only leave dangerous areas but also have a place to live afterward.
