When Ukrainian society is going through difficult transformations, support for youth, their education, development and psychological resilience are of particular importance. That is why the Donetsk Regional Youth Center is implementing a number of annual programs this year that are implemented in an online format: “Youth Democracy”, “Adolescents”, “Career Guidance Meetings” and “Psychological Meetings”. 675 young people have already joined the programs.
The “Youth Democracy” program is aimed at forming a conscious citizen who understands their rights and responsibilities. It raises awareness of human rights, promotes the development of democratic values and an active civic position. Participants acquire practical skills for participating in democratic processes, learn to defend their own rights and respect the rights of others.
No less important is the “Adolescents” program, which focuses on supporting adolescents during their formation. In today's world, full of information and challenges, young people often need help in forming self-awareness, developing emotional intelligence and decision-making skills. These aspects become key within the program, helping teenagers to better understand themselves and confidently move forward.
“Career Guidance Meetings” open up opportunities for young people to make informed choices about their future. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University and is aimed at familiarizing schoolchildren with the modern labor market, educational prospects and professional paths. At the events, young people meet representatives of various professions who reveal all the intricacies of their field.
In a period of constant stress and emotional stress, the formation of psychological resilience becomes vital. The “Psychological Meetings” program helps young people to become aware of their own emotions, needs and personal boundaries, to develop healthy self-esteem and empathetic communication skills. Participants master practical self-support tools that help reduce anxiety and maintain internal balance even in crisis situations.
At the same time, the center is actively developing offline work. In the city of Vinnytsia, the center conducts art therapy, master classes and psychological meetings aimed at restoring the mental health of the youth of the Donetsk region. Where a safe space is created for live communication, emotional relief and mutual support.
All these initiatives are united by a common goal - to support young people, give them knowledge, confidence and resources for life in the modern world.
To join the programs, follow the announcements on the center's official pages on social networks. You can join at any time.
