Participant of the Regional Competition "Young Person of the Year – 2025" in the Nomination "Defender of Law and Order" Anastasiia Havrysh
Anastasiia Havrysh is a senior police lieutenant, an operative in the criminal police sector of Police Department No. 3 of the Kramatorsk District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast. She is a graduate of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, which she completed in 2023. Since spring 2023, Anastasiia has been actively fulfilling her official duties in her position, conducting operational investigative activities in designated areas within her service territory.
During a difficult time for the country and its people, Anastasiia Havrysh, along with her colleagues, participated in ensuring safety and public order, as well as in evacuating civilians from life-threatening settlements in the Lyman territorial community of Donetsk Oblast. While conducting stabilization and operational-preventive measures in her service area, she constantly faces challenges caused by continuous shelling from the aggressor country. Despite serious risks, ensuring the safety of civilians remains a priority. New challenges arise every day, but it is important to remember for whom and for what law enforcement officers take on responsibility and make quick, well-considered decisions in dangerous conditions. Her contribution lies in the daily, dedicated performance of official duties in a high-risk zone, which requires exceptional courage and self-sacrifice.
At the very heart of the struggle for Ukraine's independence – in the city of Lyman, one of the most important and strategic settlements that found itself on the front line – during intense combat operations, shelling, and a critical escalation of the situation, she was on the front lines, diligently performing her official duties: ensuring law and order and providing assistance to local residents. She participates in the investigation of war crimes, as well as in providing assistance to civilians affected by hostilities, ensuring they receive the necessary support. In difficult conditions, under constant shelling and threat to life, she continues to serve with dedication and dignity, striving to ensure justice even in wartime.
"Shelling in Lyman has become a common occurrence – rockets, shells, explosions that mixed with noise, dust, and the smell of explosives. Every day, every shelling, every rescue operation becomes a test of our resilience, but they also provide an opportunity to be part of a great goal – to protect people, to restore peace to our land," says Anastasiia.
Her contribution to the struggle for Ukraine's independence is significant, and the courage and bravery with which she performs her duties deserve deep respect and recognition. Each time, she strives to do everything possible to make someone's life at least a little safer during this terrible time. Despite all the difficulties and trials, Anastasiia has remained true to her calling – to serve the Ukrainian people, to be a protector and guarantor of justice.
