Alina Denisova is a history teacher at Dobropil Educational Complex No. 1 who, through her own example, demonstrates that modern education can be profound, inspiring, and up-to-date. After earning her Ph.D. in Political Science at the age of 25, she successfully combined teaching at the school with work at the Department of Education and Science of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Alina Yurievna holds the highest qualification category and the title of “Senior Teacher.” She is a finalist in the “Teacher of the Year – 2025” competition, the winner of the international “Lessons of War and the Holocaust” competition, and the author of over 30 scholarly publications. As an educator, she creates digital teaching materials, serves as a speaker for the “Donetsk Region” educational hub, and instills national and patriotic values in young people.
Alina Denisova’s greatest source of pride is her students. They win awards at national tournaments for young historians and legal scholars, academic competitions, and the Ukrainian Small Academy of Sciences (MAN) contests. A symbol of this legacy is her student’s research project on a deceased school alumnus—a former student of Alina Yurievna’s—who turned a long-ago history lesson into a means of defending his homeland.
Alina Denisova does more than just teach—she shapes national memory and nurtures a conscientious elite for the new Ukraine, making a significant contribution to the future of her native region.
