Participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” contest in the “Knowledge Leaders” category: Daria Zhukovska
The combination of university research, artificial intelligence, and working with schoolchildren forms the foundation of Daria Oleksandrivna Zhukovska’s professional career. A 2015 graduate of Donetsk National Technical University with a degree in “Telecommunications Systems and Networks,” she began her career in the Department of Automation and Telecommunications, where she researched neural networks and developed engineering subsystems for monitoring and forecasting.
In 2022, she transitioned to secondary education. She currently teaches computer science and mathematics at Lyceum No. 1 and Gymnasium No. 12 in Pokrovsk. Under her guidance, students consistently win top prizes at the regional and national levels of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
She pays special attention to the mental health of adolescents. A student-created chatbot for psychological support, developed under her guidance, reached the finals of the nationwide “STEAM House” competition. As a tutor for the Czech organization “People in Need,” Daria also helps children make up for educational gaps in mathematics.
She is constantly improving her digital skills: she has earned an ICDL international certificate, Google certification, and took 3rd place at the “AI for Ukraine Recovery” hackathon. Since 2025, she has led the professional community of computer science teachers in the Pokrovsk community, where she implements augmented reality technologies and STEM modeling.
