The Donetsk Regional Local History Museum held the latest meeting in its ‘Over Coffee at the Museum’ series, on the topic ‘From the museum to the classroom: digital journeys with eMuseum’.
The meeting served as a platform for lively discussion on ways to integrate the latest digital technologies into the modern cultural and educational sphere.
The speaker at the meeting was Antonina Molotkova, Deputy Director of the NGO “eMuseum” – a leading civil society organisation specialising in the digitisation of Ukraine’s cultural heritage, 3D scanning, and the development of virtual spaces and audio guides.
During the event, which brought together cultural managers, museum and library staff, and educators from across Ukraine, the unique technological capabilities of the “eMuseum” platform were highlighted, providing users with 24/7 access to cultural heritage from any device. In addition, the meeting addressed the role of digitalisation in preserving and promoting national heritage, particularly through the integration of cultural heritage into education.
The meeting will contribute to the effective integration of digital innovations into the cultural and educational process, enabling children and young people to view the finest museum collections from anywhere in Ukraine and around the world.
