The head of the Mykolaiv City Military Administration, Volodymyr Proskunin, paid a working visit to the Baryshivska rural community in the Kyiv region, which, as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities" (fourth wave), has been designated by the community as a partner for the Mykolaiv community (outpost community).
At a session of the Baryshivska village council, Volodymyr Proskunin presented the outpost community, spoke about the socio-economic situation of the community before and after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, discussed the key tasks currently on the agenda, and highlighted the problems that need to be addressed.
The head of the Mykolaiv MBA presented the village head with a symbolic gift—the book Donetsk Region: Ukraine's Eastern Outpost—as a sign of support, remembrance, and unity.
A memorandum of cooperation was also signed at the session, which was an important step toward deepening the partnership.
From now on, the Mykolaiv and Baryshiv communities will work on joint events aimed at implementing the outlined directions. Conditions will be created for ongoing dialogue and coordination of actions to achieve specific results.
A peaceful event of shared hope and faith was also held in the Baryshiv community on the occasion of Dignity and Freedom Day. As part of this event, flowers were laid at the portraits of fallen heroes at the Memorial of Remembrance and at the Memorial Sign of Dignity and Freedom. It was a moment of shared memory, silence, and gratitude to those who defended and continue to defend our freedom.
This visit was the first step towards active cooperation between the Mykolaiv city and Baryshiv rural communities as part of the fourth wave of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities."
The Mykolaiv community is immensely grateful to its partner community for its hospitality, support, and sincerity on the path to further cooperation.
