As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a meaningful and inspiring artistic event was held with the participation of the Ivan Karabits Music School in Toretsk and the Ruzhyn School of Arts. The event served as a vivid example of fruitful cooperation aimed at preserving and developing Ukrainian cultural heritage.
In a roundtable format, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the multifaceted world of Ukrainian music, ranging from classical heritage to popular music. The discussion covered prominent Ukrainian composers, their contributions to the development of national culture, and the significance of their work in shaping students’ performance skills.
Particular attention was paid to:
- the development of 20th-century Ukrainian music and its representatives;
- the refined stylistic features of Ukrainian composers;
- the role of popular music in shaping national identity;
- the history of folk instruments, which preserve the unique sounds of past eras.
Music became a common language that united the participants, helping them feel the spiritual unity and strength of Ukrainian culture even in difficult times.
The event confirmed that art has the power to bring communities together, inspire collaboration, and open new opportunities for development. It is through such initiatives that a strong cultural foundation for the future is built.
