On April 28, 2026, a meeting was held of the working group responsible for coordinating efforts in the Donetsk region to provide assistance and social services to war veterans, military personnel, and the families of fallen servicemen (those who have died or been declared missing in action).
During March–April 2026, 30 military personnel from the Donetsk region were discharged.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the structural units of the regional state administration, the regional employment center, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, the Donetsk Regional Territorial Recruitment Center, district state administrations, district military administrations, the Main Directorates of the National Police, the State Emergency Service in the Donetsk region, and military administrations in the districts where the aforementioned categories of persons reside.
During the meeting, issues were discussed regarding strengthening interagency cooperation, coordinating the actions of authorities at various levels, and ensuring a prompt response to their needs, providing comprehensive medical, psychological, and social support, as well as proper coordination of work between relevant local agencies.
Following the meeting, further coordinated actions were agreed upon among all involved agencies regarding the organization of support for demobilized servicemen, as well as ensuring their comprehensive support with the involvement of specialized services and institutions.
