The Educational and Methodological Center for Vocational and Technical Education in Donetsk Oblast is summarizing the results of the regional online interactive event "Safe Internet: Test Yourself," which was timed to coincide with International Safer Internet Day.
The relevance of the event is due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, the growing risks of cyber fraud, and the threat of deepfakes, which requires students and teachers to pay increased attention to digital security.
Sixteen vocational education institutions in Donetsk Oblast, representing 94% of their total number, joined the event. A total of 1,008 people participated: 793 students and 215 teachers, or approximately a quarter of all participants in the educational process.
This level of activity shows that institutions are working systematically in this area and understand the importance of digital literacy in today's media environment.
Online testing was conducted in a comprehensive assessment format, which ensured the objectivity of the results. Most respondents demonstrated a high level of awareness: 148 participants (114 students and 34 teachers) scored the maximum number of points.
For their systematic work in developing digital security, the following institutions were awarded diplomas by the National Methodological Center for Vocational Education in Donetsk Oblast: Torets Professional Lyceum, Kramatorsk Higher Professional Metallurgical School, Kramatorsk Higher Professional School, Lyman Professional and Technical School, Mirnograd Professional Mining Lyceum, Bilozersky Professional Mining Lyceum, and Kostyantynivka Higher Professional School.
In addition to interactive activities, a series of informational and educational events were held in educational institutions: educational hours, thematic discussions, quests, and the creation of web resources using modern online formats.
