Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, chaired a regular meeting of the Regional Commission for Determining the Status of Persons Affected by the Chernobyl Disaster.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Social Protection and the Department of Health of the Regional State Administration, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, as well as representatives of civil society organizations actively engaged in supporting those affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
During the meeting, commission members reviewed individual cases of citizens submitted by local executive authorities for the purpose of establishing or confirming their respective status. Each case was reviewed in detail, taking into account the submitted documents and the requirements of current legislation.
Based on the results of the review, the commission adopted the relevant decisions regarding the determination of the applicants’ status. The decisions adopted will contribute to the implementation of state guarantees and the strengthening of support for citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
