During the summer, a regional ecological expedition was organized by the Donetsk Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center.
Over three shifts, 120 participants and their parents took part in the expedition, which confirms the relevance and importance of environmental issues for children, youth and their families.
The expedition program was rich and informative:
- conducting environmental quests;
- Writing and illustrating original environmental fairy tales;
- creating catalogs of native plants;
- researching the topic of "place of power" and preparing individual video projects;
- rating vegetables and analyzing their health benefits;
- discussing daily environmental practices.
The expedition participants gained new knowledge and skills, including
- the ability to work in a team and present their own ideas;
- skills of environmental literacy and responsible attitude to the environment;
- experience in combining creativity and scientific approach in practical tasks;
- development of critical thinking and environmental awareness.
An important outcome of the expedition will be that the participants' original fairy tales will be compiled into a collection of ecological tales about birds. This will help preserve children's ideas and present them to a wider audience.

The Ecological Expedition 2025 is over, but its results and knowledge will become the basis for further environmental activities.
