On March 25, a meeting was held with war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Druzhkivka city community. The event was chaired by Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, with the participation of representatives from the regional administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy.

During the meeting, a number of pressing issues related to social protection and support for veterans and their families were discussed. In particular, the discussion focused on the implementation of state programs to support war veterans, their family members, as well as the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine. Special attention was given to the provision of social guarantees within the Druzhkivka city community.

Participants also addressed pension benefits and the provision of discounts on housing and utility services for family members of individuals missing under special circumstances. Additionally, they discussed opportunities offered by the employment service for job placement, vocational training, and professional development for veterans.

Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department of Veterans’ Policy at the Regional State Administration, emphasized the opportunities for veterans, their family members, as well as the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine to receive support provided at the regional and national levels.
