The Gerashchenko family from Bakhmut started their business in 2009. Initially, they dealt with plastic windows, then children's goods, and since 2019, they decided to sell repair products. "In the store, I had my own separate department for wallpapers, while my husband dealt with electrical goods," recalls Victoria.
For some time, the family did not want to leave the business they had developed over the years and head into the unknown. They left their hometown in April 2022.
Victoria and her husband chose Dnipro as their refuge to be closer to their hometown and have the opportunity to return more quickly. After a while, the couple began to think about a new store in Dnipro.
As in Bakhmut, they decided to sell electrical goods in the opened store "MEGA OM": light bulbs, wires, lamps, and other equipment that may be needed in any home.
"We are building a customer base, they return to us, they like our prices, slowly things are getting better, but despite the difficulties, we dream of returning to Bakhmut," says the entrepreneur.
The couple from Bakhmut hopes that after victory, they will be able to receive compensation for the lost stores and apartment. However, they plan to rebuild their business right away.
Together to Victory!
