On June 12, meetings were held in the Udachnensky and Avdiivka territorial communities dedicated to issues of support and social protection for war veterans, their families, and the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine.
Participants in the discussions included the head of the veteran policy department of the regional state administration, Artur Nasibyan, the head of the Avdiivka city military administration, Vitaliy Barabash, the head of the Udachnensky settlement military administration, Valeriy Dugelny, the medical director of the relocated KNP "ACML," Vitaliy Sytnyk, representatives of military administrations, the vocational guidance and psychological support sector of the Pokrovsk branch of the Donetsk regional employment center, as well as the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.
The participants focused on state, regional, and local support programs, including housing programs and short-term compensation for rental costs of temporary housing for veterans and their families.
They specifically discussed important state initiatives, including the provision of additional rehabilitation resources, free dental prosthetics, and dental treatment in medical institutions. They also discussed the organization of medical services in relocated healthcare facilities.
In addition, participants were provided with detailed information about ongoing initiatives, including the "Veteran Sports" project with regular financial support for sports activities, as well as the online platform "Veteran Career," which promotes employment and professional development for veterans.
During the meetings, they discussed the range of services offered by the employment center for veterans, including vocational training, skills enhancement, and support in employment, as well as the possibility of participating in grant programs for business development.
An important topic was the provision of benefits for veterans and their families for the payment of housing and communal services, aimed at reducing the financial burden on families.
During the meetings, participants actively expressed their requests on important issues and received comprehensive answers.
The meetings have become an important platform for discussing the current needs of veterans and their families, and have helped to disseminate information about the opportunities provided by the state and communities for social support, rehabilitation and successful integration of veterans into civilian life.
