Lina Dub - participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Caring Heart"
Lina Dub was born on July 3, 1973, in the village of Muravka, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. Since childhood, she dreamed of becoming a doctor because she believed that there is no greater happiness than saving people's lives.
After graduating from the Donetsk Basic Medical School, Lina began her professional career in the village of Udachne, and later was the only doctor in the village of Novomykolaivka for more than 16 years. Currently, she works as an emergency medicine paramedic at the Udachne ambulance substation.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, her work has become a real feat. In 2023, after one of the massive shellings of Pokrovsk, Lina Nikolaevna provided emergency medical care to dozens of wounded for almost a day. Thanks to her dedication, one of the young women's lives was saved.
On June 30, 2023, after a rocket attack on a school in the village of Serhiivka, Lina was one of the first to arrive at the scene of the tragedy. Together with her colleagues, she helped to get people out of the rubble, bandaged their wounds and supported them with words: "Hold on, we're here!".
The summer of 2024 brought another challenge: during the shelling of Udachne village, an elderly man sustained a severe shrapnel wound in his own yard. Lina promptly stopped the bleeding and, together with a fellow driver, took the victim to the hospital, saving his life. At such moments, not only professional skills are crucial, but also true strength of spirit.
Currently, she continues to perform her duties in the Donetsk region, exposing herself to danger every day, but not betraying her calling to save lives.
