Olga Poturvay is a participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Creator of Changes and Opportunities"
Olha Poturvay is a person who energizes and inspires others to take action. She started her career back in 1990 as a librarian. Since 2003, she has been the head of the Rozdolne Village House of Culture, and since 2017, she has also been a volunteer at the New Horizons youth space.
Her work is not only about culture, but also about working with young people. She helps teenagers and students discover their talents, write and implement projects, and find themselves in creativity and civic engagement. She is a mentor, an organizer, and a real generator of ideas.
2025 was a particularly important year in Olha's life. She actively helped young people write and implement the Ecological Harmony project as part of the DIY Community mini-grant competition. On Olha's initiative, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between her institutions and the cultural structures of the Kompaniivska community, which opened up new opportunities for interregional cooperation. She also joined the initiative group to create a Youth Council at the Velykonovosilkivska settlement military administration.
Despite the challenges of the war and her IDP status, Olha did not stop. She actively cooperates with cultural institutions in her new place of residence, initiates joint events, and unites the community. Her work with children and youth is always creative: from holidays and workshops to trainings and patriotic events.
Olha Poturvay is a woman who proves that love for people, inexhaustible energy and faith in young people can change the world. Her heart beats in unison with the community, and her ideas open up new horizons.
