Ukraine has a flagship project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs called "Barrier-Free Driving Schools" that aims to create equal opportunities for everyone who wants to learn to drive.
The initiative is available for people with disabilities who are getting a driver's license for the first time, as well as for those who have acquired impairments in daily functioning and need additional training in an adapted vehicle.
Currently, there are 16 specialized driving schools in 14 regions, 7 of which are based at educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
