The Svyatogorsk and Chemerovets communities hosted a virtual tour of notable sites in their communities

To mark Ukraine’s Day of Historical and Cultural Monuments and International Day for Monuments and Sites, a special online event titled “Treasures of Our Culture: A Virtual Tour of Community Landmarks” was held

As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” representatives from the Sviatohirsk and Chemerivtsi communities—two regions united by a common goal: to preserve and promote Ukraine’s cultural heritage—joined the event.

Participants embarked on a fascinating virtual journey through the landmarks of their communities—from the picturesque landscapes of Sviatohiria to the unique historical sites of Chemerovets. It was an opportunity not only to see the beauty of their native lands but also to feel the depth of history that shapes our identity.

The Svyatogorsk community presented its region as a unique blend of natural grandeur and spiritual heritage. In turn, the Chemerovets community shared interesting facts about landmarks that serve as important symbols of their history.

This event proved once again that cultural heritage is what unites us, strengthens ties between communities, and helps preserve national memory.

Today, in the context of war, this issue takes on particular significance. Many landmarks are at risk of destruction, and it is precisely such initiatives that help not only to keep them alive in our memory but also to pass them on to future generations.
