On October 14, 2025, a press conference “Results and Resolution of the III Congress of Women of Donetsk Region” was held in Kyiv, dedicated to the results of the III Congress of Women of Donetsk Region “From the Challenges of Today to the Vision of the Future”, organized by the NGO “SMARTA”, the Coalition 1325 Donetsk Region in cooperation with the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, with the support of the UN Women Office in Ukraine, which was held in a mixed format. The event brought together representatives of government bodies, the public sector, international organizations and law enforcement agencies to summarize the results of the Congress and discuss priority areas of support for women and communities in the region.
The III Congress became the central event of the year for uniting women of Donetsk region around the ideas of peace, security and recovery, as well as an emotionally powerful information platform of women's stories, roles and achievements. It was attended by over 170 offline participants; over 1,700 views of the live broadcast during the event and thousands in the following days, which indicates the growing influence of the Donetsk women's movement.
During the event, key conclusions and analytical materials of the Congress were presented, in particular on: the effectiveness of intersectoral relations - authorities, security, communities, international organizations; the strength of horizontal women's networks on the example of the 1325 Donetsk Coalition; the roles of women in peacemaking, economic and cultural changes; resolutions with 27 recommendations developed by participants during the event, as a practical result of the Congress.
The following took part in the public report: Liliya Zolkina, Head of the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the authorities and the community in implementing the solutions that today requires. Viktoriya Nabokova, Acting Head of the Kramatorsk District State Administration, shared her experience: women can - even in wartime - lead communities and effectively fulfill their duties. Natalia Kyrkach, Advisor to the Head of the Region on Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men, Head of the Slavic Heart Foundation, who drew attention to the fact that the Resolution is an effective document, and already today a number of its points have become an impetus for real solutions that the women of the Donetsk region need, especially those who have lost their own homes. Valeria Bilenets, police lieutenant, inspector of the evacuation sector "White Angel", emphasized the need for timely evacuation and expansion of the network of temporary shelters.
The participants emphasized the importance of implementing the recommendations of the Resolution of the III Congress, in particular in terms of resolving housing issues, supporting women who lost their homes, and developing a system of protection for war victims.
Following the event, the Resolution of the III Congress of Women of Donetsk Oblast was presented as a practical tool for planning and implementing decisions by authorities, public organizations, and international partners.
