This was announced by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
The topic was discussed during an online meeting with the hospital’s management and the Regional Health Department.
In the first half of 2025, the number of patients significantly increased — 1,400 people received medical care, which is twice as many compared to 2024. The number of surgeries also rose: 900 surgeries have been performed in 2025.
“Our goal is to include the hospital in the patient referral network, which is only possible after the creation of an Emergency Medical Care Department. Having such a department will expand the range of services offered.
This will allow the hospital to increase the number of outpatient visits, which requires additional space for specialists, expand outpatient diagnostic services, and upgrade laboratory equipment to ensure clinical, biochemical, and cytomorphological testing can be conducted around the clock.
In addition, we plan to develop same-day surgery, which will require a dedicated operating room and equipment. We also aim to sign a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) to provide care to heart attack and stroke patients, further develop gynecological services, and expand the range of surgical care.
We are grateful to everyone involved in this important cause.
Together, we can do more for our people!” — emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
