The attack took place around 12:00 p.m., just when the market was crowded. Russian troops used Smerch multiple launch rocket systems with cluster munitions.
Among the dead are two women, aged 57 and 81, and five men aged 43 to 60.
Nine men and six women aged 50 to 72 were injured. They were diagnosed with mine-blast injuries and fractures. The number of victims may increase.
Shopping pavilions and a civilian car were damaged.
