On February 26, representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration took part in a roundtable discussion on the topic: "Codification of legislation in the field of protecting statehood and the status of veterans." The event was chaired by Taras Tarasenko, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights.
Representatives of government structures, relevant agencies, as well as experts in the field of social policy and protection of veterans' rights joined the discussion.
The participants focused on topical issues of systematization and improvement of the regulatory framework governing the protection of statehood, as well as ensuring the rights and social guarantees of veterans.
Particular attention was paid to the need to harmonize existing legislation, eliminate legal conflicts, and develop a comprehensive approach to codifying legislation in this area.
Strengthening the legal protection of veterans and ensuring their social guarantees is a necessary condition for fair state policy and adequate support for those who defend Ukraine.
