On March 11, under the chairmanship of Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, a meeting was held with veterans, military personnel, and family members of deceased defenders from the Shakhovskaya rural community.

Representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration's Department for Veterans' Affairs took part in the event.

During the meeting, key issues of social support for war veterans, military personnel, and their families were discussed. In particular, participants were presented with the provisions of the Program of Social Support for War Veterans, Defenders of Ukraine, Servicemen, Members of Their Families, as well as Members of Families of Fallen War Veterans and Servicemen for 2026-2027, which will be implemented in the Shakhovskaya territorial community.

Special attention was paid to the issue of using funds from the regional budget to subsidize the budgets of the region's territorial communities this year.

They discussed the provision of monthly financial assistance to children who are members of the family of a deceased Defender of Ukraine, as well as to children of military personnel who are in captivity or missing under special circumstances while serving in the military.

Support is also provided to those who have a registered place of residence in the Donetsk region and were forced to evacuate beyond its borders.

Participants in the meeting had the opportunity to ask questions and receive necessary explanations from regional authorities regarding the implementation of support programs and the procedure for receiving assistance.

Such meetings are an important part of supporting veterans, military personnel, and their families, as they promote open dialogue, discussion of pressing issues, and the search for ways to resolve them.
