On September 10, a meeting was held with war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Kurakhiv City Community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, the Regional Employment Center, and the chair of the Council of War Veterans under the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances during military service;
- the implementation of support measures for veterans, Defenders of Ukraine, and their family members, as well as the families of military personnel who are held captive or have gone missing under special circumstances, funded by the local budget of the Kurakhiv community;
- pension benefits and subsidies for housing and utility services for family members of persons missing under special circumstances;
- opportunities provided by the employment service for job search and professional development.
Artur Nasibyan, head of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, spoke about the provision of state and additional social benefits funded by regional and local budgets, called for an open dialogue, and answered questions.
