On June 9, a meeting was held with military personnel and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine who are residents of the Bakhmut City Territorial Community.
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy and the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
- social guarantees provided at the national and regional levels;
- the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances during military service;
- the status and prospects for implementing veteran policy initiatives at the level of the Bakhmut City Territorial Community;
- the work of the commission under the Executive Committee of the Zhovtovodsk City Council regarding the state program “Housing Vouchers” for veterans who are internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have relocated from temporarily occupied territories (TOT) or zones of active combat operations and do not have their own housing in government-controlled territory.
Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department of Veterans’ Policy, emphasized the importance of open dialogue and answered questions from event participants.
