When a threat loomed over the country, volunteers simply stepped forward.
Without orders. Without guarantees. Only with the understanding that Ukraine had to be defended.
This is how it was in Russo‑Ukrainian War in 2014. And it happened again in 2022, when thousands of people left their ordinary lives and took up arms.
Volunteers were the first to stop the enemy and the first to prove that Ukraine will fight.
On the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, we thank everyone who consciously chose this path.
