A week of challenges, new knowledge, teamwork, and true “Dzhura” camaraderie—that’s what the third stage of the All-Ukrainian Military-Patriotic Game for Children and Youth “Sokil” (“Dzhura”) for the middle age group, held in Zakarpattia, turned out to be. The finals brought together teams from various regions of Ukraine, giving participants the opportunity to test their skills, learn, and make new friends.
Donetsk Oblast was represented in the middle age group finals by the “Haidamaky” team from Velykonovosilky Secondary School No. 2 (Grades 1–3). The young representatives of the region became part of the large Dzhur family and proudly represented their region, demonstrating perseverance, unity, and a proactive attitude toward life.
It is particularly gratifying that the team’s participation was recognized with a number of awards. “Haidamaky” received a diploma for the best knowledge of the Ukrainian language in the “Antysurzhik” language quiz, an award for creating a special atmosphere of unity and vivid emotions during the “Vatra” creative and artistic performance, as well as a letter of appreciation for their Cossack spirit, team cohesion, and preservation of Ukrainian chivalric traditions.
The team’s mentors made a significant contribution to the team’s preparation and participation. Oles Chernoval and Viktor Pankov were honored with letters of appreciation for their active civic engagement, initiative, and assistance in organizing the Third (All-Ukrainian) stage of the final camping sessions.
We thank the “Haidamaky” troop and their mentors for their dedication, perseverance, and for representing the Donetsk region with dignity.
