Finding a Job After Relocation: Tetiana from Mariupol Sought an Opportunity to Stay Close to Her Child

Published 12 August 2026 year, 15:30

The war forced Ms. Tetiana to leave her hometown of Mariupol and move with her family to Kamianske. A new city, new circumstances, and a great deal of uncertainty… But one thing was clear: she needed to find a job that would allow her to spend time with her child.

Tetiana turned to the employment service. Specialists helped her identify the key criteria for her job search and offered opportunities that matched her circumstances.

She actively participated in employment service activities: she attended a job fair, took part in job-search skills training, and completed a course at the Poltava Center for Vocational and Technical Training of the State Employment Service under the program “Wartime Risks. Personal Safety.”

The results soon followed. Tetiana was offered a position as a laboratory assistant at Kamianske Energy Professional College. After a successful interview, she got the job.

Today, Tetiana prepares equipment for laboratory classes, helps organize the educational process, and works in a team where her responsibility and professionalism are valued.

But there is another important detail: her work schedule allows her to pick up her child from kindergarten on time.

“The employment service listened to my needs, took my life circumstances into account, and helped me find a solution. I not only returned to professional life but also preserved what matters most — time with my child,” Ms. Tetiana says.
