As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” active cooperation continues between educational institutions in the Zvanivska rural community of Donetsk Oblast and the Kam’yanska community of Zakarpattia Oblast.
To mark Ukrainian Literacy and Language Day, the Zvaniv Secondary School (Grades 1–3) of the Zvaniv Rural Council, together with the Silets Lyceum of the Kamyanska Community, held an online meeting of the “Native Language Experts” language club, dedicated to an interesting topic—toponyms, or the names of residents of settlements.
During the meeting, participants embarked on a fascinating linguistic and geographical journey through Ukraine, explored the peculiarities of Ukrainian word formation, completed interactive language exercises, competed in quick-wittedness, and discovered new and interesting aspects of their native language.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for communication, knowledge exchange, and strengthening friendly ties between students from Donetsk Oblast and Zakarpattia.
Such joint educational initiatives not only promote the development of students’ knowledge and creative abilities but also strengthen partnerships between communities and foster a sense of unity and respect for the Ukrainian language, culture, and traditions.
Together, we explore, learn, and strengthen Ukraine’s unity!
