Supporting entrepreneurship, creating new jobs, and promoting formal employment remain among the key priorities of the Employment Service. Through ongoing dialogue with employers, it continues to find effective solutions that help businesses grow even under today's challenging conditions.
Recently, Svitlana Bondarieva, Head of the Kramatorsk Branch of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, met with Olena Pyrozhok, an entrepreneur from Sloviansk who has successfully managed her own business for many years. Since 2018, she has operated a retail store specializing in construction materials, plumbing supplies, electrical goods, tools, and products for the home, garden, and vegetable garden.
During the meeting, they discussed current issues related to cooperation between businesses and the Employment Service, the digitalization of public services, the benefits of formal employment, and new government support opportunities available to employers.
Olena Pyrozhok's cooperation with the Employment Service has become an effective tool for expanding her business. With informational support from Employment Service specialists, she participated in the "Own Business" grant program. The funding enabled her to implement an important project to equip her store with a backup power supply system, allowing it to continue operating even during prolonged electricity outages.
As her business expanded, the employer created a new job and, through an Employment Service referral, hired Anna, who successfully completed an internship. In addition, the entrepreneur received compensation for the Single Social Contribution (SSC) after employing a registered unemployed person in the newly created position.
During the meeting, the parties also agreed on further areas of cooperation.
